Fashion Week Dossier: Fashion Tech Company Adopted's CEO David P. Watkins

In preparation for the Fashion Weeks ahead, we're talking to some of our favorite writers, editors, photographers and fashion authorities about how they prepare for and survive the bustle of the streets, parties and runways.

As glued as we are to our smartphones and tablets, it's only been a matter of time before we started to name them and dress them. Yours don't have names? Oh.

Tech case company Adopted makes sure your gear is as stylish as you are. CEO David P. Watkins realizes that our devices aren't just 21st-century necessities, but they are the fashion statements that allow us to state our cases. Here's what Watkins has to say about NYFW.

What item of clothing can you not wait to bust out in New York? Can you send us a picture?

A three-piece wool tunic suit from Siki Im's FW '14 runway that was given to me by the designer. It features an original, white, oil pastel art deco by Richard Haines that was painted just minutes before the show started.

Shoes: comfort or style? What shoes will you be wearing?
A little bit of both, with a pair of Saint Laurent double zip rangers or Hermes hiking boots, if it snows.

Send us a screen grab of your busiest day during New York Fashion Week.

What will you do to recover? Do you have a secret FW weapon?
I've been practicing a lot of breath meditation with our Caeden Sona prototypes. That and Vodka.

Number one thing you won't forget to squeeze in while in New York.
Jeremy Scott's after-party-they're always the most fun.

Who's the one person you know you'll make time to see despite the insanity of NYFW?
My good friend Stella Kim (@sundayswithstella), the beauty and lifestyle writer and blogger based here in New York. She owes me a K-Town Korean dinner which is a good way to take a break from fashion week craziness.

What's your favorite all-time souvenir from New York?
The two are a Chanel coffee can that model & close friend Soo Joo Park brought back for me from the Chanel Fall 2014 Supermarket show in Paris and a program booklet from the Givenchy 9/11 show here in New York that Marina Abramović and Riccardo created for the show.
