Fun Brisbane Garden Wedding - Polka Dot Bride

There is such a spirit to Arianna and Blake's fun Brisbane garden wedding captured by Deep Grey. From their own traditional ceremony within their church, to the garden ceremony, garden games and gorgeous setting for their outdoor reception.

Arianna fills us in on how she and Blake met. "Blake and I originally met in high school working at McDonalds, sparks didn't fly till I walked past his house one afternoon with a friend and he came running out to chat to us."

The bride and groom met before the wedding to travel to their ceremony together. Arianna says, "I think I loved every part of planning our wedding, I would do it again 100 times over!"

The couple held their first ceremony at the LDS Brisbane Temple, Arianna explains "We had two ceremonies, a small ceremony in the LDS temple at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane. We then exchanged vows and rings in my parents' front garden where we had our reception."

The bride chose a gown from The Bridal Company, noting, "I chose my dress because I loved the way the lace fell like a waterfall on the skirt of the dress, I wasn't in love with the top of the dress so my mum remodelled it so that it was perfect."

The ring ceremony and reception was held in Arianna's family garden. She remarks, "With the help of family and friends we just about did the whole wedding ourselves. My amazing aunty is a wedding planner and a florist and she came over from America for our wedding. She did our flowers and beautiful gold foil signage. With the help of family and friends we took all the labels off our drinks and relabeled them with personalised labels. We made cute little pouches for our cutlery. My mum was our main caterer, with the help of friends on the day. My dad even built a pergola for our special day. I made bow ties for the Groomsmen, and used the same material to cover my shoes. We spent a day scooping ice cream into balls for our ice-cream bar."

"We hired beautiful wooden bar tables for our guests to stand around with market umbrellas for shade. We included a teepee for the kids to play in, surrounded by tree stumps to sit on. The furniture we used in the garden was from my parents' house. Something we really wanted was an ice-cream buffet for dessert instead of a wedding cake, because we love ice-cream so much!"

For the ring ceremony. Arianna tells, "Blake and I decided to walk down the aisle together, we walked down to, "The Perfect 2″ by Auburn."

"We wanted to keep our ceremony light hearted and personal so we wrote our own vows and my dad initiated the ceremony. It was really important to us to include our families on our special day."

Ella Bella Floral styled the flowers for the day, Arianna noting, "Having my Aunty there to do our flowers was so special. She flew over from America for our day and did a beautiful job of our flowers and signage."

Of their photographer, Arianna tells, "Our photographer was Deep Grey, I have wanted them to be my photographer for as long as I can remember. Adam is AH-MAZING and captured our day perfectly."
