The Smiths are taking the world by storm. 2015 was a breakout year for Calvin Klein models Lucky Blue and Pyper America, and now Daisy Clementine's star is on the rise. As the lead guitarist of the Smith family band, The Atomics, and a model for Vogue Italia the LA-via-Salt Lake City dweller is working hard, keeping cool and having fun.

We learned more about Daisy and her talented siblings, whose bond is just the first thing that makes them exceptional.

You were scouted and signed by NEXT at age 14-just five years ago! Was modeling a surprise or something you had prepared for?

Modeling is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I can remember being four or five years old and telling everyone I was going to grow up to be a model one day. I used to bring magazines into the bathroom with me and practice the model's poses in the mirror!

What has happened since?

I moved to Los Angeles with my family a couple of months after I graduated high school in the summer of 2013. Since moving here, I've been modeling full time as well as working on music for my family band, The Atomics. I've been able to travel to some really amazing places and meet creative and interesting people. I absolutely love living in Los Angeles. The weather is always so nice and I get to do what I have always dreamed of doing here.

I've heard that when you took your family to visit NEXT, the agency signed them all! Tell us about your mom and dad, who gave you all such great genes.

My parents are such champs! My mom modeled when she was younger, and I think hearing her stories and seeing her old portfolio is what first sparked my interest in modeling. My dad is very musically gifted and has taught us everything we know in the band. Both of my parents are really creative, loving and supportive.

How are you juggling school, work and being in your band, The Atomics?

Well I don't go to school right now, but it is something I want to explore the future. I love learning, so I will use any extra time I have reading or trying to teach myself something. Sometimes balancing modeling, music, and normal human stuff can be challenging, but I think because I genuinely love everything I do it motivates me to stay focused and do the work. You can accomplish anything if you really want to do it.

Is living, working and playing music with your siblings challenging, or natural?

I love that I get to share my career with my siblings. We have a certain understanding between each other that makes us closer. It's an amazing feeling to work toward something bigger than yourself, especially when you get to do it with your siblings and best friends.

What's your off-camera style like?

Currently I am wearing pajamas-haha! But these days I am sticking to the basics. I am always wearing my leather jacket, and I do love having a red bandana around. I love a white T-shirt, leather jacket and jeans. For shoes I am always either wearing creepers or some superstars.

Who are your style icons?

One of my all-time style icons is Audrey Hepburn. I love how classic and feminine she dressed. I also think Gigi Hadid has great style.

What are you listening to? Reading?

Lately I have been on a real oldies kick. There is this Pandora station that plays all of the best '50s songs and it makes me so happy. I also love Leon Bridges and The Black Keys. I love love love reading, and am always reading like four books at once, right now I am reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and The Sun Also Rises by Earnest Hemingway.

How do music and fashion come together in your life?

Music and fashion have always blended together. We look toward our favorite musicians as fashion icons and the way they look is such a big part of who they are as artists. Both fashion and music are ways to express yourself and be creative, and I think that's how it is for me. I think the blend of the two shows your true self.

Who influences you, in terms of your work as the band's lead guitarist? Who influences you personally?

As far as musicians go, I am really influenced by Dick Dale, Chuck Berry and Tom Petty. I am always really inspired by big dreamers and go-getters. Anyone who has the "American dream" mentality and chases after it influences and inspires me. I also really look up to people who are respectful, kind, confident and full of light. Being around really good people has made me want to be a better person.

What advice do you have for those wanting to break into music and/or modeling?

My biggest advice for anyone aspiring to be a musician or model is to stay true to yourself and go forward with confidence. Confidence is everything. At the end of the day you are the one who has to live with your actions of what you did or didn't do. If you work hard and give it everything you have, staying true to who you are and what you want, amazing things can happen.

What's your #1 goal for 2016?

I have so many goals, it's hard to pick a #1! I think my main focus this year is to release music and start playing a lot more shows.
