Susan and Alex both spent much of their youth by the water so Tiburon, with it's coastal views and gorgeous scenery, was a natural choice for the couple's destination wedding. We love the way planner Cassy Rose Events created a day filled with romance, beautiful gathered wildflowers by Mandolin Flowers and relaxed vintage details at Corinthian Yacht Club. This Chicago-based couple are college sweethearts, and chose to have their destination wedding at Old St. Hilary's Chapel set atop a grassy hillside in Tiburon, CA. Susan, a San Francisco native, writes, "The ceremony site is a small white clapboard former church located on a wildflower preserve overlooking the SF bay. We fell in love with the church immediately because it felt intimate, full of history, and a little quirky. We both spent a lot of time by the water growing up (Susan in the Bay Area, Alex in Cape Cod) and chose a venue by the water with gorgeous views."

They incorporated the wildflower motif into all of their ribbon-adorned floral arrangements, and didn't shy away from color! Their brightly colored flowers popped against the neutral landscape of the chapel and the whites and sky blues of the reception space.

Susan kept it simple with her understated, lace-back Amy Kuschel gown and baby's breath adorning her updo, and Alex stayed sharp in a J. Crew tuxedo with classic lines.

The couple transported their wedding party and guests to the reception in an iconic San Francisco trolley car which perfectly captured the flavor of this destination wedding, and everyone partied the night away to a live band.
