We've got the most intimate and tearful Washington D.C. elopement coming up later this week, but I wanted to highlight one little detail that swept me off my feet. Courtney and Marisa wanted to bring their pooch and their two kitties to the ceremony, but understandably, kitties aren't down for travel. They prefer sitting pretty on the couch... to which I can relate! But to honor their presence, Courtney rocked hand-painted shoes with portraits of the two cats on them. So.adorable.

We brought along two guests: our best friend, Amanda, and our rescue pup, Luna. And since we couldn't bring our two cats on this adventure, I had their faces painted on my shoes. It was just enough to feel surrounded with support, without feeling overwhelmed.

Trust: you are going to want to see the rest of this wedding. We're talking a beautiful D.C. day, two cutie ladies stealing our hearts, and a special surprise after the ceremony! It's amazing. Watch this space. In the meantime, let's peek at the SHOOOOES!
