Industrial Wedding in Johannesburg, South Africa: Willeen + De Wet

via

Today's industrial handmade wedding comes to us all the way from Johannesburg, South Africa and we're just loving its creative + stylish vibe! Willeen + De Wet handcrafted lots of fun DIY elements for their day, which they say contributed largely towards the excitement and anticipation of their celebration. So sweet right? And likely so true!

Their wedding was beautifully captured by photog, Hilde, of Wednesday and October at the industrial venue space Arts on Main. Willeen shares, The diverse and creative environment of in the inner city inspired us a great deal. In this environment we felt free to be who we wanted to be as a couple. Photographs of my grandparent's weddings and their style also made a lasting impression on how we envisioned the day.

We're pretty in love with Willeen's gorge gold-sleeved wedding dress by Retha Snyders!

The bridesmaids wore Retha Snyders, too, and how adorable do they look in their hats?! These hats were found at a trader in Pretoria, South Africa, but you can shop more of our faves in the guide below!

The day's design was a collaboration of dear family and friends coming together to help bring Willeen and De Wet's vision to life. From the decorated suspended hoops and all the floral arrangements to colorful paper triangles for confetti, stationery, table lamps, and the caramel popcorn, we say this couple + their community of loved ones really pulled off a beautifully executed day!

We always love a good confetti exit!

Guests dined in this fun, industrial space on palette tables topped with simple, stylish decor.
