I have always liked Kristen Bell as an actor. I mean, what's not to like? She's hilarious, adorable, smart and funny! And her hus? Dax? Totally adorbs, and easy on the eyes! But, now I think I may actually love her. Why? Well, because she pretty much encompasses everything I write about on Bitchless Bride. She's laid back, chill and friendly. But, mostly, I appreciate her perspective (yup... there's that word again!). Her perspective on her marriage, her kids and her life with her husband make me want to lunge from my desk, loudly clap my hands and jump up and down. Seriously, I want to throw a fucking parade honoring this couple because they "get" it. They get that there is more to life than one day.

Where is this coming from? Well, check out this article and video clip, where KB discusses the details of her wedding day amongst other juicy tid bits. I'll wait... Right? How cool is that? Two well known, (and wealthy) stars who could have easily had an over-the-top wedding chose to go to the courthouse alone to tie the knot. A MAZ ING! It's official... Kristen Bell is officially my dream bride! She even wore black! And, not even a black dress. She wore black pants, and her hair was "undone" with no frills! OMG!

Look, bridey... Is going to the courthouse alone or eloping for everybody? Of course not. And, I'm certainly not suggesting that this is the only way to do it. But, I am suggesting that if all brides could have even a teeny, tiny shred of KB's perspective while planning their wedding, and even on their wedding day, the world would be a better place. Okay, so that's a little bit dramatic, but c'mon! Here's a couple who has been through a ton of shit together and overcome multiple obstacles to get to where they are today, and while they look back fondly on their wedding day, they realize that their wedding day isn't the only day that counts.

Dax conquered major addiction issues (namely cocaine + Jack Daniels) to get to where he is today. And while Kristen grew up without such antics, they had a bumpy start because of how different they are. But, they made it. And, when I imagine them talking about getting married and what their wedding day was going to look like, I just don't see them obsessing over the linen, flowers and food. I don't see them going back and forth over which entrée to serve. Right? In fact, they waited to get married because they wanted to do so when their gay friends could legally get married too (Okay... I'm even more in love with them!).

KB + Dax are a couple who clearly realize that there is so much more to life, than a wedding. Kids, Parenthood (no pun) and skeletons take precedence, and based on that FAB vid, KB and Dax know it, appreciate it and fucking own it. Totally my fucking heroes!
