Ellis + Elliot's stunning, tropical-inspired DIY wedding, captured by Plum & Oak Photo, is a perfect example of a handmade celebration done totally right, and we think you'll find yourself falling for all the cute details in a matter of moments! But before we go, we have some words from the bride about how she + her fella made their day so unique, Our wedding day was incredible - every bit of effort and work we put into it was completely worth it, and it was amazing to see all the details come together. The historic adobe style venue we chose was our biggest inspiration for the wedding. Since it's located in Southern California where we grew up, we wanted it to be an eclectic bohemian mix, with both southwestern and tropical elements.

To close, we're sharing E + E's most fave design vignette of the entire day: We absolutely loved our sweetheart table and backdrop. We alternated gold-painted pineapples and cactus in macrame plant hangers, and hung them against a woven macrame-style blanket. It was so much fun to see the design come together in real life! I loved how vibrant it was, and how it brought together the tropical and desert vibe I wanted.
