Let's fall in love under the trees! Pieter and Susan's forest wedding at Beloftebos Stanford was a whimsical, romantic, flower filled celebration of love! The couple's outdoor wedding included floral print bridesmaid dresses, lots of pastel flowers, a rustic naked cake with fresh flower topper, an outdoor tented-reception with long, farm-style tables for feasting amidst fresh floral runners and fairy lights twinkling into the night!

Lucky for us photography Adele Kloppers was there to capture their beautiful forest wedding details and gorgeous smiles!

The couple's vision for their Beloftebos wedding included simplicity with a touch of sparkle, pastel-colours and loads of candles! "We wanted too keep the rest of the decor as natural as possible in order to compliment the venue. Our flowers were mostly pastel wedding colours with greens in between."

Pieter is from Nuy Valley and studied the art of wine making at university. "Wine-making and the farm in Nuy Valley are two things very close to Pieter's heart," shares Susan. "We therefore gifted each guest a small bottle of Nuy Muskadel with a personalised card attached thank them for sharing our in special forest wedding at Beloftebos."

Love Story: At the time we met we were both students. Pieter was studying at Elsenburg and I was studying at the University of Stellenbosch. We were introduced by a mutual friend and after a few dates there was no turning back! 🙂 My dress was a lace Robyn Roberts gown was customized for me to include an open-back. My wedding dress was fully beaded, and quite heavy, but I felt like a princess in it! My hair was styled in a relaxed bohemian manner with a braid. Our bridesmaids wore custom-made floral-print dresses created from the same material, however, each in a different style.

The ceremony area for our forest wedding at Beloftebos Stanford was decorated with flowers on the ground, down the aisle and on the wedding arch. It was not necessary to include too much additional decoration at the ceremony, as it was held outside, under the trees in the forest - an already a beautiful scene. I walked down the aisle to A Thousand years by The Piano Guys - a very special moment. I arrived at our wedding ceremony in an open-topped Jeep - it was so much fun! We had a mix of pastel flowers during the reception of our forest wedding at Beloftebos Stanford. These were draped as runners down every table, with candles in between. We used wooden naked-tables, as we wanted the reception to still have a natural and rustic look.

Do not let stress and emotions override what is supposed to be one of the most precious days of your lives as husband and wife. The night before my wedding I was at complete peace with everything that was supposed to happen the next day. I was relaxed and I knew that if anything went wrong, that there was nothing that I could do about it anymore, so I just relaxed and enjoyed every minute of our special day.

We opened the dancefloor to an Afrikaans song by Theuns Jordaan - "By Jou". It has a very special meaning to us, as we often danced to this song as young students falling in love. Forest Wedding at Beloftebos Wedding Suppliers

In the end our wedding day went off without a hitch! If I had spent hours stressing about everything that could go wrong beforehand it would have been for nothing. Click To Tweet
