What a beautiful day we have to share with you lovelies today! Alistair and Jacqui's stunning wedding in Borgo della Marmotta was overflowing with beauty, from Jacqui's exquisite Yolan Cris dress (it's insanely gorgeous) to the most romantic of tablescapes under a canopy of fairy lights. Every detail was planned to perfection by Italian Wedding Dream and captured by the talented Andrea and Federica Tappo and really, the images speak for themselves so without further ado... From the bride

"Alistair and I met just over 5 years ago in a little bar on Portobello Road in Notting Hill. We are both Australian but we found each other on the other side of the world. We hit it off instantly with our love for travel, food and wine!

Alistair proposed on a holiday in Yosemite National Park in California. If you ask him, nothing went to plan but that's what made the proposal so special. When he found the right spot, he got down on one knee, and I lost it!

We love everything about Italy - the food, the wine, the landscape and of course the people, so we were so excited when we made the big decision to invite all of our friends and family to join us there and celebrate our wedding. As our guests were flying in from overseas, we wanted to find a venue which we could stay for a few days and that could also accommodate most of our guests. Borgo Della Marmotta in Umbria was just perfect for that.

We added a few unique touches to the wedding to make it more personal. We had photos of our grandparents' weddings to make it feel like they were with us on the day. Our guests arrived to a welcome pack which included hangover kits, water, Italian treats, lip balm and a personalised message on a postcard of Spoleto for each guest. This did take some time to pull together but it was definitely worth it, especially as everyone was travelling so far to come to our wedding.

The ceremony was the most memorable moment for me. It was set in a beautiful stoned courtyard within the grounds of Borgo Della Marmotta. We wrote our own vows and included a few personal touches, I was a blubbering mess (and looking at the video now, so was everyone else!).

The best decision we made on the day was to seat all of our guests on one long table under a beautiful grapevine which ran the length of the garden. It was so intimate - we had loads of candles and fairy lights. Everyone loved being on the head table!

The biggest challenge for us was not speaking Italian and not knowing the area very well. To overcome this, we used a wedding planner and it was one of the best decisions we made. Monina Bucci at Italian Wedding Dream was fabulous. The day ran so smoothly, we didn't have to worry about a thing. She even managed to make sure the sun was shining, even when it was raining everywhere else in Italy!
