Number one thing most vendors wish you would do? Close the loop. ⁠ ⁠ There has been a lot of talks this year about ghosting, and it’s always been on the tip of our tongues, but ghosting is not a phrase we love. Instead, we encourage you to close the loop. When you email a vendor, a chain starts. The vendor starts to check their calendar, they start to make preparations for meeting you or booking you. They follow up, once, maybe twice, they start the communication. If you never reply, if you never respond, the loop? It’s left open and it’s so disappointing and a little icky for the vendor.⁠ ⁠ As a wedding website, we totally get this, we send things to people that email us all the time and then never hear back. We get excited and dream big when people contact us, we sometimes even do a little dance. And then, silence. We get it, sometimes conversations are uncomfortable, sometimes it’s a little awkward and embarrassing to say something is too expensive, or that your budget has changed, or that you’d decided on someone else. Heck, sometimes life just gets busy and in the way, but to leave that loop open, is not only keeping energy out there, but it’s kind of disrespectful to everyone involved. ⁠ ⁠ Wedding vendors are mostly small businesses, they work long hours making your wedding dreams come true.
