Wedding Ideas - Film #2

One of my favourite parts of being Editor of French Wedding Style is receiving the real wedding submissions and when today's Super 8 wedding film submission landed in my inbox from Andrew Kelly Films, I could not stop smiling!

As we've said before, we just love featuring weddings from around the world, and learning about the different customs and rituals behind them. In some cultures, weddings are simple events, in others, they are deeply meaningful, spiritual and emotional ceremonies (or series of ceremonies).

There is such a beautiful community spirit and intimate atmosphere to today's wedding film, it's guaranteed to brighten up your weekend. Captured by the wonderful Maira Martins, Elsa and Joel's DIY wedding in Sweden was a family affair, where everything from the food to the decorations to the entertainment was created by the couple and their guests.

"Gosh, I love you so freaking much". Amanda and Jeremy's vows were some of the most impassioned we've ever heard - yep, we choked up! This chic couple, are so entirely head over heels in love with each other, and it shows.

Well hello there... We hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend? The sun is shining here in London, and it's the perfect autumnal Sunday for a stroll (and maybe even a pub lunch!) But before we head out, we just had to show you this beautiful wedding film.

The Italian Lakes is one of the most iconically romantic regions in the world, steeped in beauty, history (and incredible food). So, as you can imagine, it's a pretty special place to get married.

Today's real wedding has so much gorgeousness that we've had to split it between two posts. Ore & Lawson got married with a breathtaking destination wedding in Puglia, in the South of Italy. This Yonkers mansion wedding was captured on film! Vanessa and Nathan's wedding was last June at the Alder Manor Mansion in Yonkers, New York. Andrea and Doug from Yellow Hook Productions documented their wedding and tell us, "Vanessa (originally from Puerto Rico) and Nathan (from England) met in acting school and wanted their DIY wedding to have a touch of old-Hollywood charm.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again. We just love wedding films. And today's two-part real wedding will show you why. Photos are so important for catching all the little details, pretty blooms, and gorgeous group and couple shots (and we have some stunning photos from this bash, by Svetlana Photography, coming up this afternoon!).

Today's wedding is the epitome of a show-stopper. The film images by Adam Barnes Fine Art Photography, the citrus hues of the flowers arranged by Mallory Joyce, and the wedding cake adorned with orange roses all render us completely defenseless against this wedding's charms. Congratulations to the beautiful couple, Kamilia and Mike!

We just love it when we've got a double bill to share with you guys, and today's film and photo combo is a pretty dreamy one. Coco & Luis got married in Altea, Spain, with an emotional and beautiful celebration, overlooking the Mediterranean.

Begüm & Riccardo are a gorgeous couple, from Turkey and Portugal respectively, who met in Germany and tied the knot by the sea on the scenic Algarve coast in the south of Portugal.

Oh boy, oh boy, we've got the most stunningly gorgeous wedding to share with you guys on the blog today. Seriously, it's ridiculous how beautiful it is! Paula & Adam got married in the idyllic Puglia region of Italy, with a destination wedding that was romantic, stylish, and filled with pretty details.

We do love a wedding film over at FWS and today we are delighted to share with you Victoria and Greg's, real wedding film in Dordogne by Zen Film Works. This beautiful wedding is set at a fairytale wedding venue in the Dordogne area, coordinated and planned by Marry Me in France.

What makes us tick here at Festival Brides?? Well for me it has to be the stunning emotive photography we see on a daily basis. We are totally in love with Pen and Cam from Mckinley-Rodgers.. Not only are they a totally adorable couple but their photography just rocks!!

Halloween 2014 was the date that Chynna and Reginald said "We do". They were married at Morris Chapel in Stockton, California. "The inspiration for our wedding was anything and everything glamorous and creepy", explained the bride. "Our colours were plum, gold and black. We incorporated a perfect mix of black lace with 90s slasher film awesomeness."

Did you see Justin and Libby's beautiful farm wedding yesterday? Their photography by Photography by Betty Elaine showed a classic, elegant wedding that was laced with fun, creative touches. And we enjoyed gushing over it so much, that we've come back for seconds, with their sweet film by Created Space Studios.

Cannes Film Festival official starts tomorrow and I love the film season, watching the ladies of the red carpet and lusting over how they achieve their perfect red carpet looks.
