Vintage Milk Glass Wedding

Vintage Milk Glass Wedding

When Ashley brought her love of the color pink and extensive milk glass collection to coordinator Leigh Pearce, they decided to create a Southern styled vintage milk glass wedding. Fabulous, right!? This day was exceptionally captured by Anna Paschal Photography! See every last detail by visiting the full gallery here and keep scrolling to see the budget of this beautiful day.

On having a rain back up plan

Joe and Ashley tied the knot in May at Willow Oaks Plantation in Eden, North Carolina. Ashley is a girl after my own heart and absolutely loves milk glass. We planned the entire design concept around Ashley's impressive milk glass collection, her love of the color pink, and fun Southern touches. The ceremony was originally to take place outside in front of Willow Oaks' beautiful plantation home followed by a cocktail hour on a vast stone patio with amazing views of the NC rolling hills. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us. We scrapped our outdoor plans and moved everything inside for Plan B and it turned out absolutely beautifully! Holly Tate Fine Catering put together a wonderful Southern buffet with some of the best mac and cheese this side of the Mason-Dixon. One of my favorite details of the evening was the beautiful (and tasty!) cake from Maxie B's Bakery. They expertly copied the font from Ashley and Joe's paper details and added a monogram on the top tier. It was easily one of my all time favorite cakes.. simple, sweet, and oh so good!!

Read on to see how much this Vintage Milk Glass wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple's breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

One thing I would've done differently was to make sure my rain plan was absolutely the best I could imagine. Of course we had a backup and of course it rained, but if you have your hearts set on getting married at one location and have to move it you want to be sure it's decorated to compensate for the change. Leigh did do an amazing job at decorating with the candles and flowers, but I would've liked more which we just didn't plan for. So for spring brides especially keep this in mind when planning your outdoor ceremonies.

Also I would've set up my contract with Leigh earlier before even picking a location as I believe she would've been able to provide me with more options since she's more than familiar with the area and I was planning from out of town.

Advice for brides: if you're debating whether or not to have a wedding planner I would recommend spending the extra money and getting one, and one with a lot of experience like Leigh. If you have a demanding career like I do there just isn't enough time to make sure all of your bases are covered. Having an experienced planner makes your life so much easier; they know all the vendors you can imagine, help with your budget, designing, etc. and make the day of worry free from set ups to time lines. Also keep in mind you will not make everyone happy and this is your day to be selfish, it's all about you and the beginning of your new life with your groom. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people because this will be a stressful time, you do not need others adding any additional worries to your plate.
