Sardinia Wedding Venues ✈ Spotlight

Sardinia Wedding Venues ✈ Spotlight

via

We have three more beautiful venues for you this morning from a simply stunning destination. The largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily, Sardinia is a gorgeous haven of beautiful and varied landscapes surrounded by turquoise waters. The island is actually one of the most ancient pieces of land geologically in Europe, having existed for around 500 million years, and a quarter of the land here has been conserved as national parkland and wildlife reserves. Citrus groves, olive and juniper trees, craggy cliffs and rock formations exist side by side with rolling pastural hills. Tourism thrives on the island with an annual influx of over 10 million visitors, but this is mainly along the coastal areas with traditional culture becoming more evident the more toward the centre of the island you travel. The magnificent Costa Smeralda (which means Emerald Coast) of the north-east is a particularly glamorous resort area, and the Sardinia wedding venues we’re looking at today are not too far from this region.

Architectural Digest

Villa Las Tronas

Located within walking distance of the lively town of Alghero, this hotel sits majestically atop a private headland at the very edge of the sea. The venue can cater for reception dinners of 25 guests up to either 70 inside or 100 outside, and sleeps up to 56 people  with 24 rooms. The restaurant Cala di Volpe features local specialities and has stunning ocean panoramas from its dining room. Villa Las Tronas boasts full spa facilities including an indoor saltwater pool and two outdoor pools. It is family friendly with lots of guest activities available including various water sports.

Petra Segreta Resort

The hilltop Petra Segreta Resort can cater for weddings of between 40 and 150 guests with accommodation at the resort for 50. Relax and take in an unspoiled land with panoramic views of neighboring island Corsica and the granite mountains surrounding the north-east coast. The village of San Pantaleo one kilometer away is one of the most picturesque on the island. Petra Segreta caters to weddings itself with ceremony spaces available like the hilltop outdoor space below. No kids are allowed here though so if you know your guests will have little ones, this might not be the venue for you. On the other hand, if you’re having a ‘no kids’ wedding, it might take the onus off you to mention it’s a venue issue!

Villa Smeralda

The Villa Smeralda is situated on over a hectare of land with a choice of areas for wedding ceremonies. The villa features stunning sea views and has a romantic little guest house perfect for the bride and groom. The two swimming pools have a great underwater lighting system which sets a romantic mood as daylight recedes during poolside reception dinners. The kitchen is big enough to cater for any size of function and features a huge barbeque and wood burning pizza oven. The Sardinia Villa Collection which rents this venue has an in-house concierge service that can arrange everything from music to flowers, catering, make-up, hair and beauty treatments and help with the legal technicalities of getting married here. They also have a range of villas available so it’s definitely worth giving them a look if you’re considering Sardinia for your destination wedding.

Hope we’ve piqued your interest in this beautiful island, I know it’s on my must-see list. We’re back tomorrow with another gorgeous real wedding. See you then!
