Donna & Adele’s pretty countryside engagement shoot

Good morning readers! I’m so excited to share this pretty engagement shoot today from our very own b.teamers Catharine & James.  You will know these two better as Itty Bitty & Bijou, our resident pretty paper experts, but today I’m sharing the work of their other venture Catharine Noble Photography.  Yup, our b.team are multi-talented!  They picked a beautiful riverside location for Donna & Adele’s romantic engagement shoot, who brought along some of their favourite things to create a very pretty session!  Their pretty pink and white dresses and fun Union Jack wellies really pop against the clear blue skies.  Gorgeous!

Here’s Donna & Adele’s story ~

We met through a mutual friend in 2006, a chance meeting in our local pub.  We both knew instantly we were meant to be together and had a connection that has been with us for 7 years and counting.  Adele actually stole my shoes in the first 5 minutes of speaking to her as hers were hurting her feet!

Adele proposed to me in 2010.  I had lost my grandma the previous year to the day and was woken by a knock at the door.  I was greeted by a huge bouquet of flowers with a little envelope.  I carried them upstairs and climbed back in bed and read the note which simply said ‘Will you marry me’ Adele then came in the room on one knee with an engagement ring.  I said yes straight away! I will always remember the day with a smile now!

We have been planning our day since March last year.  We knew we didn’t want to follow the usual trend as we aren’t the conventional couple to begin with and sticking to tradition would simply not be us.  We looked at a few venues that just didn’t get us as a couple and didn’t feel right.  We then visited Heskin Hall in Chorley and straight away we both knew we had found the place and the perfect wedding planner in Lynne who got us straight away! Our 1950′s vintage theme fell into place straight away with our wedding reception being a high Tea, both our dresses, bridesmaid dresses, father of the bride and page boys outfit all encompassing the theme.  We have thought about every little detail from the music right through to the table confetti and a number of surprises throughout the day as well.  We are putting the final details together at the moment and adding our own personal touch, the majority of decoration/stationary sourced and made by ourselves.  When we marry on the 3rd August 2013, it will be our 7 year anniversary and we both cant wait to declare our love in front of our family and special friends.
