When one of my friends mentioned that I had to see Sean Parker’s wedding I thought it was going to be the usual extravagant affair that cost a pretty penny. Well, it was that and more. It has to be seen to be believed and I decided to share it with you for today’s post. I logged on to Vanity Fair who had the exclusive on the social media billionaire’s nuptials to singer-songwriter Alexandra Lenas. The lavish ceremony and celebrations were photographed by Christian Oth and Mark Seliger who had a vision for the wedding and stuck to it- and down to the lounge areas, keepsakes for guests, the amazing backdrop at the altar, I think the images will speak for themselves. Vanity Fair reported that the Big Sur Californian wedding site alone cost $4.5million.

Parker wanted the wedding to be “a performance-art project” which they set in a modern-day enchanted forest. All the guests, 364 of them, were given Tolkien-ized costumes by Lord of the Rings costume designer Ngila Dickson. The men wore silk-brocade vests and jackets and the women arrived in silk and velvet.

There was a long list of people involved in designing the elements of the spectacle which made people gasp aloud as they arrived. Guests entered through a 20-foot-high gate, with the couple’s initials intertwined in wrought iron. As they walked through the wedding site they saw planted flowers and hanging garlands. Set designers built faux bridges, a ruined stone castle, and a 10 foot Celtic cross. The altar was set up beneath the largest tree in the grove. Oh and of course there was a pen of bunnies if anyone felt like picking them up.
