In fashion one of the core events that can feature a fashion designer is a fashion show. District Fete: We are exposed to hundreds of brands on a daily basis. What can brands do in order to set themselves apart strategically so that they stand out and dominate their industry? Impulse Design Group: Great question! First and foremost, I think brands have to realize they shouldn’t be reaching out to everyone! They should be connecting to their audience and by connecting I mean really digging deep. Giving your audience an experience and an in-depth personal view via social media are some of the easiest but often times overlooked things brands can do to dominate in their industry. While many are on social media – many are still not using it appropriately. District Fete: Not every business owner is creative in every aspect. How is Impulse Design Group assisting companies in thinking outside the box to draw attention? Impulse Design Group: Hands down, this is an area we see all too often. The best way to think outside of the box and draw the RIGHT attention is to host an event! Customers want experiences from the brands they love – they want to feel like they are part of the brand itself and strategic events that are aligned with business solutions can do just that. Most importantly, strategic events increase bottom lines! Utilizing film is another way that business owners can reach out to their audience and connect. Film also gives businesses major return on investment because when done correctly, there is longevity and versatility components. District Fete: Event Planning is no longer solely dedicated to companies or private clients who want to host galas or weddings. How are events changing the way businesses promote themselves? Impulse Design Group: It’s about creating that experience again. People remember experiences, how you make them feel. This works much better than traditional advertising with an ad. Ads can evoke emotion but nothing is more valuable than creating an experience that speaks to all the facets of your brand. The film component mentioned earlier allows the event to continue to reach out long after the event. District Fete: For start-ups, what are a few tips that you would offer them to get a head start in being successful? Impulse Design Group: -Create a strategic plan with your social media marketing. -Host an event to really reach out to your audience – if you can afford to host an event, find other brand allies that you can work with and perhaps join their event. You want to make sure that their goals are in line with you own, but this is a great way to build your network and introduce yourself. -Find ways to utilize video! Incorporate a business highlight video to your website, Facebook page, etc. This will give your audience a quick understanding of what your brand is about – it also will help you connect with the right audience. Make sure you “shop” the video to different groups, etc – WORK it – just like Social Media it won’t do much for you if YOU don’t do anything with it. Give it the legs it needs to reach people!
