I can’t front. I get really, really excited when it is time to write this post each year. Because I love real weddings. Love. Them. And this post celebrates all that is beautiful and perfect about them. So, here are our top 5 real weddings of 2013 (in no particular order). Get ready to ooh and ahh and giggle and adore.

Ryan and Ashley’s wedding (above) encompasses all that is pretty about a Southern wedding. Shot by Paul Rowland, this event is loaded with absolutely gorgeous flowers, cobalt blue bridesmaid dresses, pretty hair, and a very stunning (and original) wedding cake.

If a traditional wedding just isn’t your style, you need to take a page from Ross and Leslie’s wedding by June Lion Photography. First of all, take a moment to admire these retro-sweet bridesmaid dresses. Due to the popularity of Bridesmaids, I saw a lot of cool bridesmaid line-ups this year, but this one takes the cake.  This Oregon event marched to the beat of its own drum with a lovely pie buffet, roaring fire pits, and amazing vintage details.

This is the second year in a row that Emily Takes Photos has placed in the top 5. And with good reason.  Danny and Rachel’s day was held on the grounds of a gorgeous old house on the California coast (seriously, it looks like a movie set).  Their eclectic mix of flowers, pale color palette, and rustic simplicity made this event hard to forget all year long!

Jake and Deidra’s event is pure vineyard loveliness.  Powers Photography Studios captured this Northwest wedding perfectly! If you want to know how to make an outdoor wedding as elegant as any ballroom, this one is for you! From Deidra’s stunning dress to their seriously gorgeous ruffled wedding cake, this event shines under its sophisticated white tents!

Dwayne and Abigail’s wedding by K & K Photography masterfully incorporates modern details into an otherwise traditionally elegant affair. I love her use of baby’s breath and greenery in interesting planters for the centerpieces! Also, this wedding party is seriously stylish in gray suits and dark dresses.
