Style Unveiled - Style Unveiled | A Wedding Blog - Palm Springs Wedding Inspiration at the Viceroy Part I

Last November, I was invited on a wedding tour of Palm Springs. It was such an amazing trip and I met so many fabulous people, ate delicious food, and saw wedding venues that were unlike anything I have ever seen!! I ate a flight of bacon at Cheeky's ... that I still have dreams about. I walked through the Uptown Design District and bought an i-phone cover at Trina Turk that has a gorgeous 'Palm Springs' vibrant pattern on it. I walked through Korakia Pensione at night when it was lit with candles ... so romantic!!! I ate the most insanely good, mouthwatering food at Workshop Kitchen + Bar ... as in, you can't NOT go there when you visit Palm Springs. In fact, just call from wherever you are now and make reservations ... and then hop on a plane. Last but not least, I dined in true french style and met the most distinguished and friendly owners of Le Vallauris Restaurant ... I came *this close* to eating a snail and felt like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman ... slippery little suckers ;)

While I was there, I stayed at the Viceroy. For 4 nights I lived like a queen in my own little villa/suite with one of my very best friends, Kimberly of Alante Photography. We had a little cottage all to ourselves!! You can be sure I will be coming back with my husband ... it was such an awesome experience. While we were there, we produced a styled shoot that was what wedding dreams are made of. Not only were the details, the dress, the venue all perfection, but the team of wedding pros could not have been better!!!! This is just the unveiling of part of our shoot ... there is much more to come ... including the most insanely decorated wedding table you've ever seen .. oh, and don't even get me started on the wedding cake!!!

I also had the honor of working with 6 of the Style Unveiled adored members. They are: Alante Photography a Seattle and destination wedding photography company, Michelle Garibay Events a Southern California and Oahu wedding coordinator and designer, Laura Hooper Calligraphy a nationally recognized calligrapher and stationery designer, Elyse Reuben Custom Couture a nationally recognized and local Southern California wedding dress and accessories designer, Copper Willow Paper Studio a Southern California calligrapher and wedding stationery designer, and All Star Photo Booth an awesome Southern California photo booth rental company. These 6 wedding professionals are some of the very best, which is why they have been selected as adored members and now that I have personally worked with them and spent a day with them, I can truly vouch for their professionalism and talent. This mix of 6 is from all over and it was so amazing to all come together for 1 deliciously designed photo shoot.

So, pin my lovelies ... pin until you can't pin anymore ... there is so much eye-candy below!!

XO~ Heather

When Heather asked if I would coordinate and style a shoot in Palm Springs - and at the Viceroy no less - uh, no brainer! I jumped at the chance! This was slated for a January feature and we started with winter inspiration and Dazzling blue. During my design process, I was drawn to cheery yellow and crisp white to create that sun-kissed look. Southern California really doesn't have a "winter" so I wanted to showcase our quintessential style - even in January. And, in perfect Palm Springs fashion, it decided to show off with beautiful sunny skies that day, too!

With this framework in mind, I had to have Joey at Artisan Events on board with me on this and he was such a perfect addition! Joey and I immediately got on the same wavelength and created a luxe and sophisticated table design, fitting of the Viceroy. La Tavola's stunning linen created the sparkling canvas for the table, Copper Willow's menu cards added to the elegance and the white floral vessels gave it some modern pop.

For the cake, I wanted to incorporate some of the other forecasted trends for this year - marbling and metallics - and what the heck, let's combine the two into one cake! Samantha at Exquisite Desserts did an amazing job translating my vision into a pretty piece of edible art.

I wanted to do something different for the ceremony so I tied in the white on the table with the white lounge sofa benches and mixed in rows of ghost chairs. Signature 's rental inventory was perfect for the needs of the design. The simple but striking yellow pomanders were the perfect accent and the Greek key stylized aisle runner added an unexpected twist. The Viceroy's signature white cabana provided the perfect backdrop for our gorgeous bride and groom.

We had such an amazing and talented group of professionals for this shoot - which truly makes all the difference. And, we all had a little fun in the process! After all, we were in Palm Springs!
