Bridal Inspirations From The Grammy's 2014

The Grammy's are always a great source of inspiration for your own wedding. Take a look at this last grammy and see the latest fashion trends pioneered by the celebrities. Now you might not think of the relation at first but remember, if you are looking to wear a second dress/ cocktail dress or reception dress, then watch out for such awards as a guide to get your creative juice flowing.

Now this is what I got from the Grammy's.

1, GOLD METALLICS: Did you notice that Gold metallics are still the favorites among the female stars? One would think it would be all too much but notice that the stars kept it simple using little or no jewelry at all. These three stars (Chrissy, Ciara and Sarah) below look amazing in their gold metallic number and you can borrow a leaf from that too. Gold metallics is still very much on trend. Imagine you coming out in your second dress with any of these numbers?

L-R: Chrissy Teigen in Johanna Johnson- She looks absolutely amazing in that dress. No wonder John can't get enough of this woman.
Ciara looks amazing too in her Emilio Pucci dress. It doesn't look too figure hugging which is good or else she'll be looking like a snake just eaten but thank God! She also kept it simple without any piece of visible jewelry
Sarah Dodd s looks like a real star that she is with that gold number. Although she does looked a bit washed out but the strong gold color would work best with someone in a darker skin tone.

2, ILLUSION BODICE.

Although this has been quite popular among designers in the past, it has taken a sexy turn with the inclusion of lacy numbers and with fabrics that is like second skin. It just gets better and many modern brides are going for this trend in their wedding dress. So if you intend to get a bridal gown with an illusion neckline or bodice, go full ahead. We are right behind you happily cheering!

L-R: Beyonce looks amazing with the floral/lacy illusion dress by Michael Costello
Giuliana Rancic looks simple and chic with her orange dress by Alex Perry. This dress fits her shape so well too.

Paris Hilton's sexy white number (House of Milani) was another eye candy . Check out the lacy sheer on her back and side. Sexy!

3, GLITTER:

What can I say? Just take a look at these two celeberities below and it'll be safe to know that GLITTER is here to stay and very much allowed. I love the idea of having a shiny belt and have seen this in some wedding dresses as seen in Zahavit Tshuba. The Boho look also got me wishing I was in that dress assuming the cleavage closed ofcourse.

L-R: Taylor Swift: She looks demure and class in that Gucci gown of hers. She did admit it was quite heavy! A healthy alternative would be good if you are a bride.

She looks amazing in that boho- inspired gown and the shiny belt. This could pass for a bridal dress if made in lace and glitter.

4, BOLD SOLID COLORS

If your bridesmaids don't want to wear pastels, leave them alone! Bold colors are so in you must admit this. Take a look at these lovelies below and tell me otherwise.

L-R: Natasha Beddingfield looks chicy modern in her orange caped gown ( am I allowed?) Although, the fashion police crew could say otherwise but I see some wedding dresses tilting towards capes and am loving the out of the box design too. This dress ( Christian Siriano) looks good on her. I would wear it!

Anna Faris looks fantastic in her navy blue Fitriani dress. Reason why this dress is one of my favorite is the fact that it complements her body shape so well. The little space created at the hips makes her curvy. Great way to enhance your shape . Imagine this dress on white sheer or soft tulle and your wedding dress will be rocking.

Pink: Oh God! I just love the fact she used red and that dress is so apt on her because of the cut. It's like bodycon but in soft satin. It suits her well. Pink has a naturally boyish figure but looking at her on that dress (Johanna Johnson). I'll score her five over five.

Lastly, I had to add Lupita. This style icon looks cool in her aqua blue number and I just imagine the bridesmaids dressed like this .

I hope you get inspired by these dresses as much I did. Sometimes you might wish to amend your wedding dress to suit your shape or to cover up. These events are a great source of inspiration for you to learn from.
