Playful + Elegant San Diego Wedding: Lauren + Hank

Happy Monday, folks! We're starting the week off with a stunning wedding that features some of the prettiest florals + paper goods! For Lauren + Hank, they wanted a day that was a fun blend of the two of them and their unique backgrounds; one that was beautiful + timeless, but didn't take itself too seriously at the same time. I think they found the perfect balance of playfulness + elegance that is sure to leave you feeling inspired about crafting your own celebration, knowing that it can be just as distinct and layered as the two of you are! Here's a bit more about the day from Lauren:

Initially, I found myself stuck in that mentality of needing to do and incorporate certain things (like a wedding cake or a bouquet toss, for example). But, as soon as I realized I didn't want to do those things, the pieces all came together much more easily. For example, we both have no interest in cake, but give us pie (for him) and ice cream (for me) and we are as happy as can be! Also, one of our very first dates ended with ice cream cones and a walk around the city so it had a special meaning for us in that regard as well. It really became a fun element of the day.
