Win Your Wedding Competition (in support of Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre)

YOU GUYS. If there's one post from me you read all week, let this be it. And if there's one thing you do today, let it be entering this competition. Because if you know me, you know I am a HUGE animal lover. Seriously, I think most of the time I like animals more than people. They reside in the softest, most gooey part of my little heart. Here's the thing - Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre (one of the few non-kill shelters in the Cape) has just a few months to raise R5 million, in order to save the 500 animals they have rescued and nursed back to health. So that's 500 tiny faces asking for our help. And here's the best part, to give that help, all you have to do is enter the Uitsig raffle (R100 per ticket) and you'll stand the chance of winning a Cape wedding worth R110 000. Photographer (and SouthBound Bride) Cheryl McEwan has rounded up a huge bunch of talented, lovely people who are donating their services, including several of my own favourite suppliers, to make this incredible prize a reality (and there are some awesome runner up prizes too).

Imagine all the stress of planning and budgeting gone, knowing you have an amazing team on your side. The prize includes: photography, videography, wedding co-ordinator, venue, bridal hair & makeup, guest house stay, Knysna mini honeymoon stay, two chauffeured cars, bridal bouquet, wedding furniture, invitations, stationery, cupcakes, discount on a wedding gown, beauty treatments, DJ, engagement photoshoot and a storybook album. Incredible, right? It seriously will be a dream come true for a lucky bride and groom.

SO. Get entering already. Do it now. Better yet, buy a few tickets. Tell your friends (I'll be sharing a flyer on Facebook shortly to make it easy for you.) And then cross fingers that the good karma you're putting out into the world will come back to you in the form of a free wedding. But even if it doesn't? You'll know you did a good thing today.
