Luis and I met by chance during one of my cold calling days while working for Nashua in Johannesburg. I walked into his offices at Du Preez and Associates to schedule a meeting with his then boss, Norman Du Preez. I thought he was a real cutie and apparently I got his attention too! Luckily for me I had left my business card with his boss! The very next day, unknown to his boss, he stole my business card and got in contact with me. At first I was a little sceptical of this random stranger contacting me, but before I knew it I had fallen for his nerdy charm! And the rest as they say, is history!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Luis surprised me with a getaway trip to Mauritius for my birthday in September 2012. As it was a early birthday surprise, I didn't expect the "real" surprise that awaited me! On our third night there, after a romantic dinner on the beach, we decided to take a walk to a secluded spot further up the beach. It was here that he wrote in the sand "Spend an eternity with me?" to which I replied "of course yes".....being my ditsy self I still hadn't understood that he was proposing! He then got down on both knees, holding a beautiful
ring, and asked her to marry him....I said yes!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The most memorable moment of the Wedding Day for me was our opening dance. The dance was romantic and magical, and for a moment it felt like Luis and I were the only ones in the room. Our song gives me goose bumps every time I hear it now!

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

It was a day filled with lots of love, laughter and some questionable dance moves with all the people that we love the most!

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Don't stress yourself out too much about the planning, as at the end of the day all that really counts is that you marry the love of your life. You are the only one who knows how everything is supposed to turn out, so accept that not everything will happen as you imagine it. Take in every second of the day as it goes by so quickly.
