Suzanne & Rubin's Peach-Inspired Intimate Wedding

I may be biased, but there's nothing better than a relaxed & intimate wedding. Ok, I'm totally biased ( find out why here), but if you are thinking about an intimate wedding then Suzanne & Rubin's pretty little celebration will certainly inspire! I love the fact that they bought their outfits and got ready together almost as much as I love the pretty colour scheme - peach always gets my vote! I adore how they brought in lovely organic details, with loose & wild flowers, peaches at the place settings and honest locally sourced food for their wedding breakfast and dessert table (which looks absolutely delicious!), oh and that lovely romantic glow I'm always going on about? They totally nailed it with those rustic lanterns and fairy lights!

We had both came out of long relationships and were searching for the perfect partner! We both signed up to a dating site at the same time to try our luck. We found each other that same day! We started chatting online and a few days later we met in real life, love at first sight! 5 years later were living together, discussing marriage buying a house etc, and we agreed marriage would be a great first step. Shortly after this he proposed properly, with just the two of us!

Unconventionally, we went shopping together for our wedding day outfits! I bought my dress from Rembo Styling, and Rubin wore an outfit we chose at Society Shop. I stopped at the Mac counter in the Bijenkorf (a huge Dutch department store) and describe the look and feel I wanted. I had a very pretty bridal makeup lesson with the assistant and bought all the products to recreate it myself on the day. I also did my own hair, a simple boho braid with little white flowers weaved in. We didn't have any bridesmaids or groomsmen, but all the men in Rubin's family wore the same style of clothing with natural colours and suspenders!

We wanted a relaxed, intimate outside wedding, with a vintage or bohemian theme The palette was eventually chosen in peach, grey and light blue. It took me 3 months to make a decision! We chose "Het Tuinhuisje" (Little Pavilion) as our venue because it's really intimate and we loved the outside, a place with lots of green and flowers.

The florist Helmi's Bloemwerk was very local, I wanted a succulent in the bouquet and blue and peach colours to fit in the theme. We made colourful bunting using cardboard in our wedding colours, and hung them around the venue. We bought some games made from wood blocks and badminton. Just to be sure (for the weather) we also bought pretty umbrellas since it would be outside, and we had a basket with blankets.

Our cake, food and tables were done by Eten van een Lekkere Tafel {which translates roughly to 'food from a tasty table'} We didn't have just one cake, but a table full of cakes and sweets! Owner Michelle's food is honest, handmade and fresh and she also makes sure that the table looks pretty with flowers, decoration and tableware.

Our photographers were Anouschka and Ray from Anouschka Rokebrand Photography. She really stood out because of her beautiful natural photos. It is amazing what kind of photos we got from goofing around for an hour, also most of the smiles in our photos are thanks to Ray who is this great guy making you laugh all the time. These two are quite the amazing team and we are extremely happy with our photos.
