Side Chignon

Similar to the appeal of a little black dress, the classic chignon is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser at formal affairs. Give the bobby pins a rest for the night and enlist the help of the trusty Spin Pin for a chic side chignon.

1. To give your hair a little volume and body, sprinkle a texturizing powder like L'Oréal Professionnel Paris True Grip Texturizing Powder in your hair prior to styling. Sweep your hair to one side and create a low ponytail just behind your ear. For an undone look, pull a few front strands out so that they frame your face. If you have really thick hair, use a hair tie to secure the ponytail. But if your hair isn't that thick, you won't need the extra support.

2. Twist the hair into a knot and hold it in place with your hand. Grab a Spin Pin and position it at the base of the bun. Twist the pin into the bun. Take the second pin and twist it into the bun on the opposite side. Release your hand from the bun and, voila, instant updo! Set the style with a little hair spray and you are good to go!

1. Divide your hair into three sections. Starting on either side, twist the first section into a bun right above the base of the neck and screw in the Spin Pin to hold it in place. You ladies with thicker or longer hair may need to insert an extra pin to make sure the bun is secure.

2. Repeat this with the next two sections and make sure all three buns are aligned. For an extra-feminine touch, add flowers or a pretty headband!

1.Part your hair to the side and pull out sections of hair near your hairline from both sides of your head.

2. Twist the two pieces and wrap them around your head, joining them at the back.

3. Cross the two twisted sections. Positioning it horizontally, twist one pin into the hair where the two sections cross paths. Finish the style by spraying the hair with a lightweight, flexible-hold hairspray like Garnier Fructis Flexible Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray.
