Geometric Wedding Details

Geometric Wedding Details

For the record, my appreciation of geometric details extends only to these cute designs. If someone needed help with their geometry homework, well, I would be of absolutely no help. But these colorful, angular stylings are too whimsical to ignore, PTSD flashbacks of pop quizzes aside. From eye-catching invitations to spectacular cakes, these wedding details infuse a modern wedding with bright hues and lots of playfulness.

The two examples show just how different geometric wedding invites can be. Above, a gray background is peppered with an enthusiastic rainbow spectrum (and you all know how I adore an envelope liner). Below, geometric goes rustic chic with this faux wood design heavy on witty wording and a Southwestern color palette.

Looking forward to a crisp, white event? Add minimal amounts of color to smaller details, like place cards. These (below) are understated, but trendy.

Don't forget the gifts! Show your appreciation to a swell bridesmaid with this geometric inspirational print (above). While today may not technically be her day, the future is limitless, and now she can be reminded every morning when she gets up. Below, prove yourself a DIY queen by making your honey this wooden sign. After it serves as decor on your welcome table you can hang it in the family room.

When it comes to geometric table decor, you can add lots of different elements like the table above. Everything from the painted wooden blocks in the center of the table to the jauntily folded napkins hint at your theme. This pink and gray menu (below, right) would be a colorful addition! Or if you prefer simple sophistication, keep things uncomplicated. Use gold geometric shapes alongside gold-tipped bud vases (below, left).

Take your decor to a whole new level and use some of your venue's vertical space with these hanging installations. White paper diamonds hang above this pink and gold tablescape (above) with triangle plates. And this completely impressive backdrop (below) can give your ceremony pictures an extra dash of color or serve as a photobooth background.

An easy geometric detail to find is a terrarium. These metal framed options with air plants (below) would go well on an otherwise sparse industrial windowsill.

Yup, cake time is the best time. (And, of course, as a rule that extends beyond weddings. Seriously, it's 3pm, have you had your cake today?) Decorate your cake with these awesome white plastic toppers and wooden sign (above). Or incorporate geometric details directly onto your cake like one of these magnificent creations:
