This Is What We Like.

"We went with a BBQ and Ice cream, as this is the type of food we like to eat" and if that isn't a good enough reason to have exactly what you want for W-day then I don't know what is.

I really love Kayleieh's look, the simplicity of her high street dress (yes really, and why not? - it's stunning) her one-bloom bouquet and her statement yet feminine headpiece. The bride and groom wanted a relaxed and informal feel to their day and used an assortment of talented local suppliers to make their dreams a reality.

Capturing the English country garden affair was The Love Lust List member Mister Phill which obviously means the images are BEAUTIFUL.

Oh, did I mention there were Kilts? And tweed? There is some VERY good man-dressing going on folks.

Kayleieh The Bride: Picking a wedding dress was really difficult for me, I decided to go with a high street dress, as I didn't want anything too formal. Monsoon had a great collection of dresses that were both beautiful and affordable. I found my headpiece on Etsy, which was handmade using baby's breath and sola flowers and shipped in all the way from South Dakota, USA.

The idea of getting married in a Barn really appealed to us, as we wanted a relaxed wedding that didn't feel too formal. Kingston Country Courtyard was the second venue we visited and one that we fell in love with. The location was truly beautiful and although the barn had all the details we wanted, it was still simple enough that we could put our own mark on it.

We didn't have a colour scheme as such; we just knew that we wanted to bring the outside in by decorating the Barn with lots of bright flowers.

As Paul has played in bands for a number of years, he knew that he wanted a live band for the evening entertainment. To ensure that all age ranges would enjoy the music, we decided that a Motown/funk band would be ideal. Paul found Oomphf via the RHLive network and after watching some live videos knew they would be perfect. Everyone absolutely loved the band and they turned a beautiful day in to an incredible evening.

Paul appealed to Twitter for some suggestions for a photographer and was pointed in the direction of Mister Phill by Dan Young, (who had hired Phill to photograph his Vejer wedding). Paul was blown away by not only the quality and intimacy of the photos, but also the way Phill told the couple's stories through his amazing blog posts. Paul emailed Phill the same day and just a few days later, we officially had a photographer!

Paul The Groom: I always knew that I didn't want a traditional suit as I wanted more of a relaxed and rustic look. I found some perfect tweed waistcoats from Next, and with some help from friends, managed to get the right sizes for both myself and my best man, Ross. I also got our woollen trousers, (which weren't perhaps the wisest choice for a summer wedding!) and shirts from Next. Both the waistcoat and shirt had subtle detailing such as a slim lapel and collar bar which really suited the look I had in mind. I chose green tartan ties from Topman to not only compliment Kayleieh's Dad Garry's kilt, but also highlight the stitching in the waistcoats. As I have a slight boot obsession, I knew I wanted something a bit special to complete my outfit. I ordered some Red Wing Chukka boots and although it was a real struggle not to wear them before the big day, it was totally worth it.

The flowers were sourced from a local flower farm and were perfect for the English Country Garden feel we wanted to achieve. Kayleieh and her Aunt, Jan arranged the table arrangements and bouquets.

We went with a BBQ and Ice cream, as this is the type of food we like to eat - all of the food was sourced locally. Kayleieh's Mum made the cakes as she makes a delicious cake and we also wanted the cakes to be homemade.
