How to Make Fabric Flowers - Sew - Handimania

via

Impossible can happen. It's the middle of summer in my kitchen. I'm truly in the mood for warming up projects. So I started painting Paper Plate Flowers with my kids and ended up preparing a whole bunch of Fabric Flowers to put in a vase in the kitchen.

I know freshly cut flowers are nice, but fabric flowers last longer and you don't have to water them ;) To complete the project I used a tutorial, I've found on 'Snowy Bliss'. It's simple, quick and gorgeous. Using strips of fabric, I shaped the petals, sewed them together and wrapped them around the sticks to form the flowers. I had only one problem, the material I used was too stiff to sew it.But a variety of fabrics such as organza, linen, cotton and velvet are sure to work well with this project.

Feel inspired to bring some summer to your home, once you decide to make the flowers show them to us!
