You may be bored with your manufactured round paper Ikea lamp one day, and that's the best opportunity to give a personal touch to your home. There are lots of project letting you give new life to old lamps. I even have my favorite lamp expert. I've already shared Cristina's of 'Design Sponge' Cupcake Liners Lamp, which is quite classy design.

But the next project was a big surprise for me. Cristina cut strips from scrap paper and glued them onto the shade. The effect she got was an artichoke like lamp or if you like a hairy head dangling from the ceiling. The light this Paper Scrap Lamp gives, is a bit more dimmed then a regular one, but it's worth investing time in this project as you get something original.
