Wedding Calligraphy Inspiration Shoot

We love calligraphy. There's something about big, elegant, sweeping lettering that really takes your decor, stationery, and paper goods to a whole other level.

Whether you do it yourself (read these top tips how), or invest in a masterful scribe like Pigment & Parchment (whose incredible talents you'll see below), hand-painted signage and pretty lettering add a personal touch to your wedding like no other.

Which is why we were so excited when fabulous wedding planner Mitra of Be Wed, got together with Lanny Nguyen Photography, and a talented team of San Francisco wedding vendors to create this gorgeous shoot.

Featuring beautiful calligraphy from Pigment & Parchment, along with luxe details, plush florals and a rustic setting at The Lawley Ranch, this shoot shows no matter how bare your backdrop is, careful styling and thoughtful touches can turn any wedding into the most chic of celebrations.

From The Stylist

Gold means celebration! I wanted to show brides and grooms how they can adorn their big day at a ranch or barn with elegance and glamour, while staying true to the outdoors. Going glam doesn't always have to tie you to a hotel ballroom, and that's my favorite part about this styled set-up, showing couples how they can turn a rustic ranch into a more formal affair that is fitting of their big day. My color palette features touches of gold, with hints of burgundy, fuchsias, blushes, ivory and lots of natural greens to tie into the native space. The florals bring this to life with an earthy and rich feel. Handwritten, watercolor calligraphy adorns every space, creating a seamless and beautiful guest experience. The lovely vintage rose goblets creates for a more elegant and fun table set-up, while the gold flatware, rose china and elegant linens gives the look some opulence. And to tie it all together, the gold coated, square tiered cake ties some bling into even the dessert course.

So gorgeous, right? That backdrop is such a statement piece, it would be just perfect for your ceremony, and then you could hang it behind the top table for your reception.

Thanks so much to Lanny Nguyen Photography, Be Wed by Mitra, Pigment & Parchment and the rest of these awesome Bay Area vendors for sharing their beautiful ranch shoot.
