When you work in the wedding industry, your big day is bound to be beautiful - after all, you've been collecting inspiration and working with vendors that can bring your vision to life. So when Mollie married Patrick, their black tie wedding was full of spectacular floral arrangements in a setting as stunning as the bride's pearl-studded wedding gown.

Floral designer and Snippet & Ink Select Vendor Kathleen Deery said about Mollie and Patrick's wedding, "We love pouring our hearts into the design details of a wedding, especially for our dear friends. When those friends are professionals in the event industry who have seen it all, we have to raise the bar even higher. For Mollie and Patrick, we pulled out all the stops."

Did you include any traditions in your wedding? The bride borrowed a silver charm from the groom's family which had belonged to the groom's late sister, and held her paternal grandmother's lace handkerchief.

What was the best advice you received as a bride? Hire a videographer to capture the day, as it goes by so quickly and you may forget the details.

What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding? Let the experts that you have hired be exactly that. Trust that they will make the event perfect!

The Ceremony

"While taking a break from our wedding party pictures, I wandered into our ceremony to find the choir rehearsing. Being alone in the room, I was able to take in everything I had dreamed and hoped for as it came to life. I thought, 'This is it! Everything is exactly how I wanted to start my life with Pat.'"

Your ceremony in three words. Graceful, Majestic, Personal

Why did you choose this location for your ceremony? I have participated in the planning of over 500 weddings as a professional, and I have always felt that the old world charm, history and formality of the Bently Reserve gives one the feeling of stepping back in time.

Who officiated your ceremony? How did you choose him? It was important for us to have a personal relationship with our officiant, which is why we asked a good friend to do the honors.

What was your ceremony music? Ja Ronn and Flow, a local gospel choir, were truly one of the highlights of the evening and provided the musical energy for the ceremony.

What were your ceremony readings? We wanted our readings to be simple and profound. We chose "Oh the Places You Will Go," by Dr. Seuss and "It's You I Like," by Mr. Rogers.

What were your vows like? We wanted our vows to provide a blueprint for the rest of our lives. We chose to write our vows and deliver them as a promise to each other.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony? As guests arrived, they were greeted with glasses of Champagne and serenaded to their seats by the gospel choir.

The Reception

"From the wedding invitations to Mollie walking down the aisle and throughout the reception, we wanted guests to feel like they were looking out from a champagne glass through the bubbles - effervescent, and sophisticated. This theme was prevalent throughout the night, from the lighting design on the ceiling to the design of the cake."

How would you describe your reception? Our reception was a sophisticated black tie event that never lacked in fun! Guests were provided with the rare opportunity to dress up and enjoy an event that became special for all.

What was one of your favorite details from your reception? Kathleen Deery and her team went above and beyond in the design of our wedding. Everything was beautiful, dramatic, and graceful, and no detail was left undone. Even the women's restroom was made stunning by Kathleen! She added lounge furniture, wallpapered the existing towel dispensers, and added flowers and candles. Guests told us they visited frequently just for the experience!

What was your first dance song? The lyrics to " Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" include the bride's maiden name, so the Beatles song was a perfect choice. The bride danced with her father to " Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, and the groom with his mother to " Loves Me Like a Rock " by Paul Simon.

What type of cake or dessert did you serve? Sweet on Cake designed our delicious wedding cake, feature caramel toffee, red velvet, and cherry almond tiers. We also served late night sweets including Chimay floats with Straus ice cream, cappuccino push-up popsicles, and strawberry-ricotta zeppoles.

Did you serve a signature cocktail? The Blushing Bride: sparkling wine, pavan liquor, hibiscus liquor and lemon bitters, served in a coupe glass and rimmed with gold sugar.

What was your favorite moment or part of the reception? I was delighted to be able to showcase my professional experience for our friends and family. Guests were treated to a five star dining experience from Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, which everyone agreed was the best wedding food they had ever had. The reception band, The 415's (San Francisco's area code) was an intergenerational delight for guests from 18 to 88! The dance floor was never empty from beginning to end. Seeing our family and friends enjoy themselves was an incredible feeling.
