3 Months In: New Year's Resolutions Worth Following Up On

via

Wait, it's March. Why are we still talking New Year's Resolutions? Well, let's be honest - we're sure you forgot about most (if not all) of the promises you made for 2015, particularly the one about becoming a new you that's well traveled, fit, healthy and rich. And hey, if you stuck to your guns, we couldn't be more proud! We're not going to point fingers here, so let's remind you of the ones really worth following up on, shall we?

Eating Right

Eating healthy and exercising. It's always the number one resolution, and want to know why? Because it's that IMPORTANT! Eating a balancing diet will not only make you feel great, but it can drastically improve your complexion as well. Everything you eat has an affect on your body (you know, you are what you eat!) and the healthier the foods you consume, the brighter and more vibrant your skin will look. Don't you feel an extra boost of confidence on those days you wake up to flawless, glowing skin? We sure do.

Beauty Sleep

You know the importance of getting enough zzzs, yet you continue to go to bed well after midnight (even with work in the morning)! All the makeup in the world and tricks up our sleeves can't make you look as well rested as eight hours of sleep. And let's face it, after a long day of work, we could all use some rest anyway. Bonus - going to bed on time will keep signs of stress away from your face and not to mention wrinkles, under-eye circles, puffiness, acne and just improve your overall health, productivity and up your energy levels.

Pssst, if it's after 10 p.m. right now...get to bed!

Organizing

De-cluttering your home, your workspace, and even organizing your makeup stash can give you that "fresh start" feeling. If all the things around you are a mess, your life can start to feel a little messy too. It's spring-cleaning season and you know what that means - out with the old and in with the new! You'll never believe how such a simple task can instantly make you feel at ease. Just pick a space (or room) to clean each weekend, and before you know it, your life will feel more on track!

Trying New Things

You've been meaning to try painting, take an online course, travel somewhere new, learn how to surf (or swim, in that case) and somehow, something always gets in the way. No matter how busy you are, there's always time to pick up a hobby or gosh, even try cooking a new dish you saw on Pinterest or experiment with a beauty look you've been meaning to try! It's these experiences in life that will keep you happy and hungry for new things to come. Plus, they make Mondays a little more bearable!

Budgeting

You said you'd start being more careful with your money in the New Year so that you could finally start saving up for that new car, house... or maybe even just a fab pair of shoes. We're sure your parents have been nagging you about starting a savings account and for good reason too (listen to your mother!). Now that you're an adult, it's time to start shopping smart so that you can plan for the future. And while we're all for the occasional shopping spree, there are ways to cut corners and save some dough - like these drugstore finds and salon saving tips.
