Wedding bells rang for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder over the weekend.

Reed and Somerhalder married Sunday in a sunset ceremony in Santa Monica, California, E! News confirmed. Instead of gifts, the two apparently asked guests to donate to their charity.

Photos of the couple's stunning nuptials surfaced, showing the actress in a gorgeous long-sleeved lace gown and the "Vampire Diaries" star in a light suit and blue tie.

Neither has spoken publicly about the marriage yet, but Somerhalder tweeted a happy message on Sunday.

Reports of their engagement swirled in January, six months after they began dating. In February, Reed gushed about her engagement ring to Us Weekly, saying: "Can't tell you anything about it other than I love it more than anything in the world!"

This is Somerhalder's first marriage and Reed's second. She was previously married to "American Idol" contestant Paul McDonald. They wed in 2011, separated in early 2014 and finalized their split in December, E! News noted.

Reps for Reed and Somerhalder were not immediately available for comment.
