We have a wonderful Scandinavian inspired geometric styled shoot to share with your lovely faces today.

Put together by Festival Brides favourite World Inspired Tents and the super talented wedding stylist Kate Cullen, the aim of the shoot was not only to showcase the magnificent Giant Hat Tipis but also to draw inspiration from their natural geometric shape and Scandinavian roots.

Featuring the work of Dotty Pink Designs, Acacia Floristry and the very cool jewellery brand Wolf & Moon (I love these guys), this shoot really does prove how one wedding theme can have such a fantastic impact when all the elements work together.

World Inspired Tents and Katie Cullen, along with the featured suppliers, talk us through the shoot...

World Inspired Tents: When planning our first Cotswolds Open Weekend for April 2015, we thought it would provide a great opportunity to work with a new team of suppliers - largely local to the area - and use the tipis for a styled shoot. We were keen to create a look that reflected the tipis' Scandinavian heritage, while maintaining an earthy, natural feel that works so beautifully in the tipis. We also felt that the geometric shapes that the tipis provide could be echoed in the styling. We knew that a brilliant stylist was required to bring these ideas alive - and that's exactly what the wonderful Kate Cullen provided!

Wedding Stylist, Kate Cullen: The shape of the tipis and the wonderful internal structures lend a natural geometry that was the basis for the shoot theme - working with the triangles and natural Nordic heritage was the perfect springboard for our ideas.

I wanted the look to be very detail focused, from the gilded succulents, nail art, paper garlands, napkins, geometric jewellery, shoe and cake details through to the hair and make up and choice of dresses. The stationery was another opportunity to reflect the geometric concept - the fortuneteller menus the perfect extra touch. The white, green and gold tableware provided another layer to the overall feel, and the soft furnishings and baskets borrowed from Burford Garden Company worked really well with the rustic breads and canapés, bringing the whole look together. Ultimately, we created a Scandinavian styled shoot with air plants and succulents, triangular geometrics, copper, and natural wood with a focus on the natural beauty of the tipis, to reflect the heritage and environment that these wonderful structures came from. Acacia Floristry: After receiving my 'Scandi cool' brief from Kate on this shoot, I realised instantly the structure of succulents and air plants were a must. I used them extensively throughout the tipi along with earthy materials such as vine and moss.

I incorporated proteas into the asymmetrical bridal bouquet to add some pale pink structure as well as the succulents, but then felt I needed something softer to contrast the harsh lines of both flower, and so I added spirea, lisianthus, and ammi. No bridal bouquet is complete without scent so I then added white peonies and tuberoses.

Caterers, Parsnip Mash: My brief was clear from the styling team, to create a Scandinavian "Smorgasbord" inspired feast, with a selection of hot and cold dishes to be served on long informal rustic tables. The dishes needed to be colourful, unfussy, photogenic and encourage conversation.

Amazing memorable menus are often more about sourcing the very best of seasonable ingredients and adding a dash of inspiration. Great food does not have to be complicated but is it essential to remember that the first bite is taken with the eye, presentation, presentation, presentation!

Photographer, Paola: I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to be the photographer for this very exciting styled shoot. Kate's visual direction was very clear from the beginning. I love nature and as an alternative, same-sex and destination wedding photographer I'm always on the lookout for new locations and creative ideas to be involved in. What I love most in the shoot was that spirit of collaboration amongst the different suppliers and of course the stunning location too. Being inside a real tipi was a very "makes you feel-good-experience. Even though I am a wedding photographer based in London, I love the English countryside so I was ecstatic to be able to shoot in the Cotswolds, which I absolutely love.
