There lies a type of beauty in plain and simple. How can so little be so visually pleasing? Clinton and Robyn is sharing with us their Gabrielskloof Wedding, a majestic event, in such an elegant way. Dearheart Photos photographed the day and tell the story from their perspective. Have a look and be inspired by this love story!

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

Clint and I worked in the same building for quite a while without meeting, so we would
cross paths intermittently without saying a word to each other. My friend knew I thought
he was rather handsome so she took the initiative and introduced us at a 30th Birthday
Party a few years later. I was dressed as a sailor and he was a long haired pirate, after a
case of mistaken identity and a few tequilas we never looked back.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

While on a holiday in New York last year, we were walking across the Brooklyn Bridge
during sunset. Clint called me to one side and whipped out a beautiful rose cut, grey
diamond Dear Rae ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes, jumped around a little
and we headed off the bridge to celebrate, or perhaps more accurately, steady our nerves
by finding an Irish Bar and drinking a couple of stiff whiskeys. Waking up in Brooklyn
the next morning with a fiancé and diamond ring was a pretty incredible feeling, it's a
truly special time.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Groom:
Having a braai with an array of close family members before the ceremony was really
special. Everyone together on the farm, sharing a casual lunch was the emotional calm
before the storm and a chance to chat and keep the nerves at bay. When I saw Robyn
coming down the aisle I was blown away. I know the bride is always meant to look
amazing but I was truly stunned at the enormity of the occasion seeing my future bride
walking into the chapel was a moment that will live with me forever.

Bride:
Walking down the aisle with my dad was one of those surreal moments that felt like a
dream. Our first kiss was this wonderful release, a safe space from all the madness. The
speeches were incredibly special and looking across the room and seeing all of our
friends and family just having the best time.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

A beautiful, intimate day filled with laughter, family, friends, love and celebration.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Plan as much early on, secure the big bookings (Venue, Photographer, Makeup, Minister)
so that you can just focus on the smaller details. Try and get the admin like ante nuptial
contracts, out the way months before or else you will lose your mind trying to fit it in
before the wedding.
