This family business began 39 years ago in the family drugstore. The drugstore had a variety of merchandise including children's clothing. As Dorcas Prince, owner of Low's Bridal, shared with me: her mother was at market and was asked, "is there a bridal shop in Brinkley?" Her mother said "no". At the time, Dorcas' mother was a home economist. She thought she could make or alter the wedding gowns. So she purchased six bridal gowns and put her bridal shop above the drugstore.

The store took off to the point that the family purchased an old hotel and renovated it. This is their current location and home to 2500 wedding gowns. Low's Bridal now boasts 25,000 square feet of display area and offers 60 of the world's best wedding designers. No wonder that Low's Bridal and Formal is known for having the largest bridal gown selection in the mid-South.

I know when I visited Low's for the first time, I was amazed. In fact, I took my sister to Low's when she was visiting in Memphis, just to see the store. The selection is incredible. And the ambiance in the old hotel is wonderful.
