Fall is all about going bigger and bolder with your makeup. And, while the traditional charcoal smoky eye is our typical go-to, sometimes a girl's gotta switch it up. Add a little pizazz to your makeup routine by trying this maroon smoky eye instead! Top it off with a pretty, nude lip and you've got yourself an unstoppable makeup look for fall! Makeup pro Alana Dawn shows us how to land it!

Step 1: Apply eye primer to your lids (we love Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion).

Step 2: Dust a dark, shimmery fuchsia shadow on the lids (Dawn used L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Glistening Garnet). Be liberal with your application until you reach the color intensity you want.

Step 3: Use a fluffy shadow brush to apply a deep maroon shade along the crease (try NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Addiction). Blend it well, so the color transition is seamless.

Step 4: Use an angled brush to apply your fuchsia shadow along the lower lash line. Buff it out with a fluffy brush so it looks smoky. Finish with your favorite mascara.

Step 5: Line your lips with a nude-colored lip liner. Fill in the lips with a nude lipstick that works with your skin tone.
