Moody, Spellbound Wedding Inspiration

With All Hallow's Eve just around the corner, photographer, Jasmine, from Let's Frolic Together collaborated with the design team Urban Shindigs to get swept up in all things mysterious and magical! Jasmine says, Our goal was to showcase that moody darkness can be gorgeous, glamorous, high-end, and super inspiring! And it's not only an inspiring editorial concept, but the perfect wedding inspiration for couples that hope to achieve a dark, romantic vibe for their day.

Urban Shindigs' inspiration began with the intrigue of witchcraft and magic and smoky mysteries (but without the caldrons and broomsticks) and found the perfect craggy forest backdrop at dusk to tell the story. With a hint of gothic style in the most elegant manner, the groom was high fashion in a black-on-black-on-black Michael Kors suit from Friar Tux and the bride's creamy taupe Vatana Watters dress in a tulle skirt and separate bustier top from The Dress Theory just dropped our jaws.

Shelby McElroy served as both Makeup artist and model, and kept the eyes dark + the lips nude...so pretty + fun! And we love the textured hair with large curls, by Erin Dunaway, which balanced out the amazing large floral crown by Luxe Botanique!

Please and Thank You's handcrafted 'blue moon' cocktail served in a coupe glass made for a perfect signature cocktail to really show off the vision and theme. The team wanted it to feel like a magical violet potion concocted to steal hearts. (Mission accomplished!) They also added a mulled wine, with star anise floating as garnish. Yum!

The dramatic vintage furniture from Pow Wow Design Studio and gorgeous black matte tableware from Not My Dish felt right in line with the creative vision. The mismatched pillows for seating kept things feeling effortless - a fun idea to steal for a bridal shower or backyard party. The team shares, And as a plated favor, we crafted ribboned sage smudge sticks to ward off evil!

And what a cool (and mysterious) cake by Hey There Cupcake! We love the marbled look to the top tiers, and those edible crystals are just too amazing!
