Whimsical Jurassic Park Inspired Outdoor Wedding - Whimsical...

Wow. I don't even know where to begin today. This bride and groom just went all out to ensure that they had a bloomin' great time with their nearest and dearest.

Chloë and Sam tied the knot on the 16 th May 2015 in an outdoor ceremony in the Secret Walled Garden at Wasing Park in Berkshire. The majestic tipis were the perfect space for their colourful and whimsy party afterwards too. There was an Owl ring bearer, spray painted pineapples and Bandeoke. Awesome.

With Jurassic Park as an influence Chloë and Sam walked down the aisle to the theme tune, Chloë wore the best dinosaur shoes ever and the aisle was decorated in pre historic feel blooms, which really took my breath away.

Chloë looked stunning in a feather Charlie Brear gown with cosy cardie, Sam had a custom made vibrant suit and the maids wore mismatched mint frocks. Oh the style.

Barney Walters, thank you so much for sharing your captivating imagery with us.

THE PROPOSAL | 26 th July 2013

THE VISION | A completely personalised, relaxed, outdoor wedding, with our closest friends and family - all with a sprinkling of Jurassic Park influence and devil-may-care silliness.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Sam, became groomzilla and planned the whole thing. Chloë's job was to find her perfect dress and organise the 10 bridesmaids she'd chosen.

BUDGET | More than we thought.

THE VENUE | Secret Walled Garden, Wasing Park, Berkshire.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Charlie Brear, feathered skirt over silk slip. Custom dinosaur shoes made at home in Chloë's mother's shed.

FINDING THE DRESS | After lots of hunting online, Chloë and the girls went to Charlie Brear near Tottenham Court Road, London. Chloë only tried on 2 dresses. The first was the one she thought she wanted. The second was tried just for "a bit of fun". That was the one she fell in love with.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Sam has always been a bit of a peacock. The wedding gave him the excuse to have made the suit he'd always wanted. A visit to William Hunt on Savile Row offered him the opportunity to select his dream fabric (Scabal's "Acapulco") and customise it with wild lining and pearl buttons.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The bride walked down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme tune. The couple left to the same.

The rings were delivered by a beautiful barn owl, Molly. She then stayed for an hour or so, allowing all the guests to pet or hold her.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | All dressed according to a colour palate, sage/mint, but could choose their dresses. One dress cannot suit 10 girls!

THE FLOWERS | Flowers were supplied by Ruby and Grace, Pangbourne. The brief was round-headed flowers, such as ranunculus and dahlia, interspersed with peacock and pheasant feathers.

THE CAKE | A 7-tiered cheese masterpiece created by Chloë's mother, complete with mice and mousetraps.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Barney Walters, a spectacular photographer, extra pair of hands, and by-default wedding facilitator.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Home-sprayed gold pineapples, gold pine cones, multicoloured dinosaurs, cracked eggshells and other silliness - all adding to the Jurassic theme.

We also didn't have a typical band. Instead we chose Bandeoke, whereby guests sing, supported by a full band and backing vocalist (believe me, you need the backing vocalist).

Teepees that glowed at night due to the lights and festivities within.

THE HONEYMOON | 2 weeks travelling around Costa Rica staying in fine hotels but still enjoying the spectacular flora and fauna. Then 3 days in Miami on the way home to "recover".

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Our nieces and nephews dancing to their parents singing. The beautiful weather. The best BBQ we've ever had. The moonlit backdrop to the bustling teepees.

The owl!

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | It goes so quickly, it's a whirlwind of a day. Take some time out to stand back and savour it.
