They met four years ago in Nepal while her best friend and his sister had a romantic plan to set them up. However, at the end, it so happened that they randomly met on their own without any matchmaking at an internet café at a distant village where Shir just finished a hiking trek she was on. That's what we call destiny!

They decided to get engaged in a meaningful manner, without having to wait for the other to propose, and to have it a mutual decision. When they felt like it was going in that direction, they set a date where they would be engaged - definitely a breakthrough in the mainstream wedding process. When the date finally arrived, they drove down to the gorgeous beach of Arsuf where they read one another a meaningful and heartfelt letter that they wrote in advance. Two days later, they told their families about the exciting news and only later started to dive into the planning and technicalities that are part of planning a wedding.

For them, the most important part about the planning their wedding was the Chuppa ceremony - a part where many couples tend to give less attention and focus on. The process of planning the ceremony and the though we put behind the content of which we would bless and one another was so special which at the end turned to be the most significant moment in the entire event, where we felt full clarity and felt like we were in the moment."
