Anthonie & Janine's Oakfield Wedding - Wedding Friends

Anthonie and Janine's wedding story reads like an exciting adventure! The bride and groom in classic black and white, contrasted with bold oranges and lush greens. The two got caught in the rain but didn't let that spoil their happy day, instead taking it as a perfect photo opportunity.

The gorgeous couple were married at Oakfield Farms. Captured beautifully by Megan Ann, these young lovebirds are totally infatuated and it shows. Janine shares their story...

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We met in High school. He was friends with my best friends' sister (That best friend was one of my bridesmaids!) We'd go to their 'spot' during break to get lunch money or ask silly questions, later we just went there pretending to need something... And he pretended not to be interested :)

We had the same interests, sang in the school choir and took part in school plays. We got to know each other better at each choir practice and show, and as the first choir camp came round the romance was in full swing. He asked me out on the 26th of Nov. 2014 as we sat by the smouldering fire watching the sun rise.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

He Proposed to me at a little B&B in Lonehill 2 days after our 9 Year anniversary. We had planned to have dinner there to celebrate the occasion, so the dinner itself wasn't a surprise. He told me to dress up - because the B&B wanted to take photos of us for their new website - so I did (Sneaky!).

After dinner under the romantic, fairy lit, lakeside gazebo we took a leisurely walk to a room that we did not book in to... we joked around about disturbing someone inside as he pretended to open the door... and when he did I was welcomed by a thousand rose petals asking a single question: Will you marry me?

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

We share the same memorable moment - just from different angles. For me - His face when he saw me walking toward him, the "wow" that he whispered to me as he took my hand, and the look in his eyes when he said Yes.

For him: "The most memorable moment would have to be seeing her for the first time. Walking toward me with a radiance and glimmer in her eyes. She looked amazing, and the moment affirmed what I already knew - this is the first day of a new chapter about the rest of our lives..."

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

My wedding day was the Perfectly sunny, windy, stormy afternoon that I made the ultimate promise to my best friend.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides
