California Cool Meets European Sophistication at Chateau de Grace in Malibu
One of Malibu's newest hidden gems is Chateau de Grace - a private estate with a European influence, nestled in a secluded area between the ocean and the mountains. Inspired by the romance, elegance, and intimacy of the property, Cindy of An Enlightened Event knew she wanted to highlight the California meets European vibes. To bring out the luxurious feeling of the venue, she crafted a palette of blue, gold, and grey tones. Light colored woods, marble, and concrete elements topped off the design to give off a sort of grounded "old world" feel. The combination of both luxury and vintage, paired with the outdoor setting, made for a truly romantic setting.
Ready to be swept away by the gorgeous captures from Lucas Rossi Photography? Let's look!
Simple + sophisticated, we're big fans of using Minted for all your paper goods!
Lacy + oh so elegant; the bride is wearing the 'Whitney' dress from Claire Pettibone.
The way the soft gray-blue hues are woven through the day are simply spectacular.
Floral designer, Drew Rios, from Rogue and Fox Florals built the wood backdrop used in the ceremony specifically for the shoot + designed the perfect florals for the reception tables - simple, elegant, and artistic.
Does anyone happen to recognize today's darling bride? Say hello to Natasha Martinez, Miss California 2015!
Elegant, yet understated, with the wooden chairs from Party Pleasers + white florals. A mix of both 'California casual' + 'European sophistication' - don't you think?
The name cards at each table setting were purchased from the tile section at Home Depot. It's a great DIY project for any couple wanting to add a pop of color or have something different at each seat. And that pretty calligraphy? It was done by Sky Dog Designs.
Playing off the idea of an ombré cake, Frost It Cakery incorporated a strong concrete look for the bottom tier. It was topped with a marble design for the second, + a loose herringbone pattern for the third.
The groom wore a slate blue suit from Friar Tux. Who else is crushing on that color?
This lake setting at Chateau de Grace definitely gives off the air of being somewhere in Italy or France...
