Colorful Boho Dallas Wedding: Chelsea + Jerome

Colorful Boho Dallas Wedding: Chelsea + Jerome

via

When you're inspired by the golden desert + those quintessential Palm Springs vibes, but call Dallas, Texas home, you do your best to bring the southwest to you! Chelsea + Jerome's gorgeous wedding day shows us how to make that happen, and teaming up with stylist (and baker), Emily Allen + the Bows and Arrows floral design crew was the first step in the right direction for this eclectic, fashion-forward couple. Together with their vendors, they dreamt up their ideal bohemian wedding, which featured macrame runners, hand-dyed shibori napkins, cement + watercolor votives, and so much more. Chelsea says, The inspiration really came from current obsession with cacti, fun colors, and patterns, and just wanting our day to be a different experience for everyone while being unique to us. And with that, they decked out their Dallas warehouse venue, Hickory Street Annex, with soft layered textures, pops of bright sunset colors, cacti paddles, protea, and small, personal touches that were meaningful to the two of them.

Thanks so much to Ben Q Photography for the absolutely gorgeous images + big congrats to Chelsea + Jerome on a beautiful day!

We love, love that shade of yellow the bridesmaids wore. Such a perfect match for a colorful, festive wedding! And Chelsea carried a dream of a bouquet courtesy of Bows and Arrows!

Emily Allen shares, For the entryway installation, I designed a gallery wall with custom prints I had our graphic designers (Yeti and the Beast) make that incorporated passages from Chelsea and Jerome's wedding vows - this is one of my favorite parts of the wedding because not only did it make for a sweet graphic statement as guests entered the space, but it's something that Chelsea and Jerome can always keep displayed in their home to remind them of the special day.

And we're seriously obsessed with these macrame runners + all of the desert tablescape decor! From the palette to the textures to the unique ideas (like the cacti paddle place setting piece), we really think this wedding is sure to inspire many couples planning a day with a similar vibe.

Let's talk about these cakes for a sec. Because they are pret-ty amazing! And what's even more incredible is that the designer behind this entire celebration is also the talent behind these beautiful cakes! High fives to Emily Allen of Cakewalk Bake Shop for bringing everything together so perfectly. She tells us more about the vision, Rather than opt for a single towering cake, we created a cake table full of nine smaller cakes in various hues of blush, violet, sunset and gold, all incredibly styled with a loose movement of floral and vines.
