Stylish Thank You Notes Makes The Task of Writing Them Much Easier

Once you're back from your honeymoon, you simply have to face the inevitable truth: those thank you notes aren't going to write themselves. Sorry. But, the task is better when the cards are cuter, right? Here are a few helpful tips to writing the perfect thank you note, and some darn cool cards to inspire your own thank you note selection.

Tip #1: Personalize each card by mentioning the specific gift. If they sent a check or gift certificate, you shouldn't mention the amount. Rather, tell the giver what you plan on spending it on, like a new dining table or a night out post-honeymoon.

Tip #2: If you had to return or exchange the gift they sent, don't mention it. Simply thank them for the gift they gave.

Tip #3: Avoid monotony by trying to make each card personal. For example, if your dog lover aunt couldn't attend, mention how much she would have loved that Rover walked you down the aisle.

Tip #4: Thank you notes don't need to be Tolstoy-worthy, but they also shouldn't be just a sentence. Come up with several different versions of conversational "lines" to get you through the guests you don't know that well, such as your parents' friends.

Tip #5: This should be an endeavor that you tackle together. Have your new hubby help you with his side of the guest list so that his friends and family's cards can also be personal and appreciated!
