What I'm now mainly interested in are easy to install and minimizing space loss shelves. I used Wrap-up + Rope Shelf in the kitchen but for the living room I need something more sophisticated.

I always associated peg shelving with shop displays. I thought it was designed to be sturdy enough to accommodate heavier products but not to be very elegant. My mistaken assumption was disproved by Pegboard Shelving System presented on Apartment Therapy. This system is intriguingly simple, yet graceful and practical. The shelves can be configured in multiple ways so even bulky books may fit in. Obviously, it can be also used just as decorative furniture with flowers vases or frames with photos.
