Today's engagement shoot is a real celebration of love & cultures. This Indonesian bride-to-be and her English groom had their engagement shoot in the city of Amsterdam. It was captured SO beautifully by Turkish wedding photographer Yeliz Actici and styled by a team of local professionals - who hail from all over the world too! What brought them all together was a shared love of this vibrant and fun city, so stylist Mirjam Shah from Wedding Guru designed their shoot to make the most of their unique connections, using bold bright colours against the iconic backdrop of the city's canals. The result? A unique, fun and truly beautiful engagement shoot for us to share!
Jack and I met in 2007 when we both worked at the Aran Irish Pub during our studying in Amsterdam. I am Indonesian and Jack is English, so both really come from different back ground and culture and the city of Amsterdam gradually became our home soon after we graduated and started building our carrier. We bought our first house 2 years ago and last summer we decided to tie the knot on 8th of August 2014 - there was no romantic proposal, we went out and bought the ring together which was romantic in itself!We won our engagement shoot in a competition organised by Mirjam Shah from Wedding Guru and Yeliz Actici when looking for our wedding photographer in the Netherlands. We thought Amsterdam would be the best location to celebrate our relationship; the city which had brought us together. Mariam beautifully styled our shoot with lots of bright colours & flowers which really suit the vibrancy of Amsterdam. I got to wear some gorgeous dresses and we had some great practice for the big day!
