How to Make Recycled Jeans Apron - Sew - Handimania

via

Today I'm conducting a mission on recycling jeans. Everything started last Saturday, when quite coincidentally, I opened my wardrobe, and I found two pairs of jeans I haven't been using for ages. One pair was too tight the other too worn off, so probably that's why I had hidden them at the bottom of the whole trousers pile.

As denim is quite durable material it's ideal for a Bag and that was the first thing I sewed this morning. As I was still left with the other pair of jeans, my attention was drawn by Recycled Jeans Apron. I stumbled upon a natty tutorial on how to make it. Clarissa of 'Creative Green Living' cut out the front of the jeans, prolonged it with one trousers leg, decorated it with some additional fabric and made a beautiful apron, resembling overalls. I liked the idea so much that I'm on my way to the sewing machine.

If you have a pair of jeans languishing in the back of your closet, use the ideas to let it live longer. Don't forget that we're waiting to see the results of your work!
