Memorable moments seem to take place naturally by the waterside for Kim and Mike. "Mike proposed on Cannon Beach, in Oregon. We were walking along the beach and he got down on one knee where the waves crashed on the shore, and asked me to marry him," smiles Kim.

The couple chose to have their reception and ceremony at UBC Boathouse, beside the marina. "The venue really sold itself, you couldn't ask for a more breathtaking location to host your event," shares Kim. The venue was decorated with help from family and friends of the couple. "My father made the white pedestals, grass troughs, wooden planks and much more. Mike's mom was a huge help too and grew all the wheat grass, while a family friend prepared all of our flowers," says Kim.

A highlight of the evening was during the ceremony, when the groom performed "Heaven" by Bryan Adams on the guitar. "As he played the sun began to set, streaming golden light across our faces and filling the room with love and warmth," reflects Kim.
