A Carnival of Flags

A Carnival of Flags

Israel's Independence Day is just around the corner and we can't help but noticing all the different flags that decorate the homes, the cars and are spread all over the city. The flags are a colorful and joyful addition and they are inseparable from the festive atmosphere happening around this time of the year.

As we are a wedding blog which deals with weddings and everything surrounding them 24/7, naturally, the first association that pops in our mind when we approach the blue and white holiday is the bunting flags - which are a popular element when it comes to wedding design. Over the last few years bunting flags have become a big trend and they are incorporated in all kinds of wedding themes from country to spring or just playful . They might be a small touch to the design, but they are as festive as can get.

What's great about bunting flags is that you can go for all kinds of designs - simple white flags, or perhaps different colors that will match the overall concept; you can go for a Utah style or a more glamorous style and pick sparkly flags. The bunting flags are not just a part of the venue design; they can actually star on your wedding invitations or save the dates, on the Chuppa itself, as centerpieces or even as cute little cake toppers.

Get inspired by the simplest yet festive ornament that will transform your wedding to a true carnival.

Happy Independence Day!

To end on a sweet note, please find a DIY tutorial to make your own little personalized bunting flags that could be used as cake toppers, seating slips or cute centerpieces.

All you need is a bamboo skewer, a white (or any color of you choice) crochet thread, a glue gun, kitchen scissors and five paper scraps cut into different sized rhombuses.
