A Pretty Pink Ombre Wedding - Belle The Magazine

A wedding filled to the gills with blooms is a wedding after my own heart. And today, my heart belongs to this beautiful Ombre Wedding from Laura Elizabeth Photography. The Petals were tucked in every corner of this at-home soiree for this Bride and Groom who had overcame a long distance relationship. And every inch of this classic romance story is sitting pretty right here in the gallery.

He had rented a house for Aaron's whole family and significant others. At this point, I had started business school, so Aaron and I were doing a long distance relationship. Since we weren't able to see each other very often, and the setting seemed perfect, I had a pretty good idea that Aaron might be proposing that weekend. Also, my dad had showed interest in meeting us down there for the vacation (although he had no idea about the proposal when he first started looking the vacation). Aaron called my dad to ask for his blessing about a week before, and my parents finalized their plans to come down with us. We got down late Thursday evening and spent an awesome day hanging out at the beach on Friday. Then, Friday evening, just as the sun was setting, Aaron called everyone over to the patio. After making a speech that seemed to take FOREVER to me at the time (I've since watched it and realized it was quite short), Aaron got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I sobbed throughout while my mom ran around taking amazing pictures of the moment. It was so beautiful and we both felt incredibly lucky to share such a special moment with our families."Here is Janelle's explanation of the Jewish ceremony: "Our wedding will be a Jewish wedding so there are a few special moments to capture. We will be signing our ketubah before the ceremony with the bridal party and family. A ketubah is basically wedding vows that are turned into a work of art that we will both sign and hang in our house. During the wedding, there will important parts: the blessings with wine at the beginning of the ceremony, the Seven Blessings at the end of the ceremony, and the breaking of the glass at the conclusion of the ceremony. We will also be writing our own vows. During the reception, we will do the hora dance where Aaron and I will be held on chairs by our guests."

From the Photographer... "It was one of the most magical weddings ever. The day went along without any problems - and the weather was even perfect (and that's saying a lot for a 'near Seattle' wedding)! These two overcame a long distance relationship and ended up tying the knot in Janelle's dad's backyard with a Jewish ceremony. The reception venue was in a neighbors's backyard (where Janelle and Aaron were only the 5th marriage celebrated there!). Sunset beach photos were taken at yet another friends'/neighbors' backyard. This was truly a community affair! Their proposal was oh so romantic as well."
